"Yet THERE IS A MAGIC GREATER AND MORE ANCIENT THAN THAT OF THE WHITE WITCH (Of Narnia)...For When An Innocent Victim Is Slain Upon The Stone Table, Time Itself Will Split (In Two) And Start to Go Backwards
Yes indeed, as Aslan so knowingly informed the Pedensey girls as they cried tears of joy upon seeing the beloved Lion-King of Narnia resurrect to life over the Stone Table he'd only recently been slain upon,
the White Witch of Narnia's unlawful usurpation of rulership upon Narnia had now finally been broken, as Aslan's willingness to suffer martyrdom for the life of the traitor Edward (Pedensey) was an act of such vicarious selflessness that it had power to change things (upon Narnia) for good...
And thus and so the supreme sacrifice of Jesus the Christ 'once for all [time]' upon Calvary's 'old rugged cross' for the sins of all mankind ushered in a new epoch in the affairs of not only Planet Earth and all humanity past, present and future, but of the Universe itself, and all the unfallen worlds...
one whereby
the [great] dragon...that old serpent, which is/called the Devil, and Satan
having
prevailed not (in heaven)...was cast out (for good; for time and immemorial)...
he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him...
But sadly - for the collective inhabitants of our world - time was to continue for a couple more millennia, and so though the inhabitants of heaven upon high had real cause for rejoicing, it has been another matter entirely for the human species left to dwell upon this globe, and John well declared
Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devil [has] come down to [us], having great wrath, because he [well] knoweth that he hath but a short time.
And has (and does) he what!
